The hatch should have a panel that is screwed on. Remove whatever covers the panel (may be clipped on) to get at the screws. Take a good look at the hatch, you should be able to figure it out.

Right where the clip is, slide a flat head screw driver under. It will take a little pressure and wiggling but you should get the clip to pop out. Deep breath and be brave! LOL
It may not be so much a clip but a button type anchor that has expanded ends to hold it in place. If this is the style, they are plastic and the ends will push together as you pry the "button" out.

I can't see how the clips work ,scared of breaking the covers do you know where i can pry them loose.
