In your owners manual, at the back in the troubleshooting section, there will be a phone number for customer support. I suggest you call them. Since there are burners on the stove, I would imagine the surface of the stove would get hot when the burners are on. Now if you are using the oven and the surface is getting too hot to touch, then that is not right.
