Lock pattern for which device? From what I've learned from having to search this same issue on different devices, you will have to erase the drive and reset the device to factory conditions. This means you lose everything stored in it. You might want to continue trying to remember the lock pattern. The reason the device has to be erased is because it's a security feature for in the event the device is stolen, no one can just reset the pattern and access the device to view private files and information.
