      depends on the state in which you live. computers in California keep indefinitely until paid. pops up when you register your car or apply for drivers license. contact authorities where you received the ticket and offer to pay it if you can. they may have warrant out for you.

        It has probably fallen off the computer by now. Call the courthouse and they can tell you if it's still on your record, and how to take care of paying it.
