What is your basis for this post? How many black people did you ask, if ANY at all, about how they want to look?

My sister married a black man and had 3 children. Though they are mixed race, they act back as do the members of their family from their father's side. I do not see any of them trying to act white but I do know and have met white people who insist on talking like they are black. I've also seen white people with afros in my time. I think people just respond to cultures they are comfortable with. Perhaps some of these people you claim act white when they are black were raised by white people or had strong influences from the white culture as they were growing up. Whatever the reason, they accept and embrace what is important to THEM not you. To me, that IS loving oneself.
