    1981 yamaha ss 440E choke adjustment issue. ( how can i tell if my choke is properly adjusted).

    It starts on the first, or secnd pull. smokes a little more than usual. trying to properly adjust my choke cable. i already took my carb off, cleaned it completely. put it back together. adjusted the oil pump cable to factory specs (26mm). 1 1/2 turns out for the air/fuel mixture. having an issue adjusting the choke cable. have no top end. can't get it to go over 40mph. Please help !!!!!!!!!
