He did initially but over time (it was a slow process) he lost his belief.

hi dimsey,, my understanding is darwin believed in evolution for most of his life,,i think he believed we came from monkeys,,towards the end of his life he came to believe in god the creator.......

maybe God didn't believe in Darwin. At any rate, if we evolved from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys ?

Suggestion is, we evolved from a certain species. Not all monkeys are of the same species.
