Build your soil with plenty of compost and till it in. Buy great tuber stock. Pick a site with suitable drainage and sunlight. Do not plant until the safe plant date for your area, avoid freezing the tubers. Label the varieties accurately, as planted and when lifting tubers. In the freezing climates, pull the tubers in fall, well before frost. Store properly in a cool, ventilated area, after they have had soil knocked off.
