What does it look like ? How does it differ from a web cam ? Does the person you're using it with , have to have the same brand of Skype that you do ? It is a noun, or a brand name ? I'm sorry I'm so clueless, but I don't have kids or grandkids to keep me informed of all this stuff. If I lived near Cleveland, my step-grands would.

You use your web cam to Skype. When you Skype you can talk face to face over the internet with family and friends, use voice only, or type words and have a conversation back and forth. My Aunt in Texas phones me using her Skype phone line quite often, as well.
You can download it ... as it is a program. There are options that are free to use and options that are not.
