It is a window behind the roll bars, which rolls up and down, electrically. On mine, the drivers side will go up and down, but the passenger side is about half way up and stays there. I have seen how the mechanism works in photos and a parts breakdown in the parts book. I understand that there is a toothed belt that is probably broken. The motor drives the worm gear behind the driver's seat, and the belt drives the worm gear on the passenger side, thus raising and lowering the window (deflector or stop).
My real problem is, that I don't want to just rip into the interior and destroy something. I need to know the proceedure and steps that must be taken to dismantle the covers around the window regulator mechanism.
Could someone please steer me to a site that I can acquire this information. Any information that I have seen on audiforums on Google is sooooooo scanty as to be of no value.
Thanks, Bernie
