In treating divine action in the world, we must distinguish between creation, providence, and miracle. Creation has typically been taken to involve God's originating the world (creatio originans) and His sustaining the world in being (creatio continuans). A careful analysis of these two notions serves to differentiate creation from conservation. Providence is God's control of the world, either through secondary causes (providentia ordinaria) or supernaturally (providentia extraordinaria). A doctrine of divine middle knowledge supplies the key to understanding God's providence over the world mediated through secondary causes. Miracles are extraordinary acts of providence which should not be conceived, properly speaking, as violations of the laws of nature, but as the production of events which are beyond the causal powers of the natural entities existing at the relevant time and place.

A miracle is an event that appears to be contrary to the laws of nature and is reguarded as an act of god. Devine Providence is guidance believed to be provided by god.

    None.  They're both B.S.

A miracle can occur at any time.   It's your lucky time.  Maybe you hit the lotto.  Maybe you had a spontaneous cure from a dreaded disease.   Maybe everyone died in an auto accident but you.  Maybe you, your daughter or son, developed a great insight that they did not have before, that might even save the world.   A miracle might have a luck factor involved.  Divine providence might have a little miracle involved also.  Difference tho is that we humans feel divine providence is GOD putting his hand into and on a situation.  Too me Divine providence is Elvis Presley.  That voice, that beauty that gift.  Elvis did not even realize he had the voice of an angel.  Barbara Streistane.  God put that voice in her.  Aretha Franklin, divine providence.  Hugo Chavez, divine provident.  A man that helped so many poor people.  Helped 12 countries to keep their lights on.  And they paid his country  back with beans, rice and geans.  Well that could just his courage as an individual.  But to me divine providence is when GOD steps into a situation or into a life!
