    why would a toddler of only 2 yrs old be pulling his own hair out at the roots? creating bald patches

      He/she could just be getting to know that the hair is actually a part of the body and belongs there. When it hurts enough, he/she will stop. If this has been going on for a while or if this behavior does not stop, you may want to speak to his/her pediatrician.
