Install all components of Adobe PageMaker and Adobe Acrobat properly before trying to convert your document. To complete the exporting process, you will need Acrobat Distiller, Acrobat Distiller PostScript Printer Descriptions (PPD) fileand Adobe PostScript printer driver. If you need to install these components, insert the PageMaker application CD into your CD drive and run the "Installation Wizard."

Open PageMaker. From the "File" menu choose "Open" and select the PageMaker file that you wish to convert to PDF.

Click on the "File" menu and choose "Export." Next choose the PDF option.

Choose the output option that most meets your need for the job. For example, choose "High Quality Print" for a document intended for printing or "Smallest File Size" for a document that you intend to send over the Internet. Click on your desired job output from the "Job Name" menu in the dialogue box that opens labeled "PDF Options."

Click "Export" and wait for the "Save In" menu to open.

Highlight the location where you would like to save the PDF file on your computer. Type in a name for the file. If you would like to view your PDF document right away, click "Save." Otherwise, deselect the "View PDF" option and click "Save."
