1 Answer
You need to remove the glovebox.
Instructions
1
Remove the ashtray from the center console panel.
2
Remove the two screws above the ashtray with a screwdriver.
3
Pull out the panel below the Accord's radio. Reach behind the panel and disconnect the connector by pressing in on the tab located on the side of the connector. Remove the panel and set it aside.
4
Locate the screw securing the knee panel. It will be visible once you remove the center panel. Remove the screw. Pop off the cover over the fuses on the right side of the passenger knee panel with a screwdriver. Remove the two screws underneath this cover. Pull the knee panel straight back to remove it.
5
Open the glove compartment and locate the right and left covers along the perimeter. There is a small slot at the bottom of each cover. Place a screwdriver in each slot and gently lift up to remove the covers. Mark them with tape to make sure you don't get them mixed up.
6
Remove the screws revealed when you removed the glove compartment covers. Take out the two screws along the top edge of the glove compartment.
7
Remove the three screws from the metal bar underneath the glove box. Also, remove the screw from the second metal bar, which sits underneath the bar containing the first three screws.
8
Apply light pressure on the inside of the glove box and pull it out of the vehicle.
