    Can I get a copy of: artical 1 section 35 of the Constitution of Alabama

    It is interesting. I wonder if Alabama trashed their first state constitution and wrote a whole new one. It's not like section 35 was amended, it appears it was completely changed topically.

    I've never heard of a state completely changing their constitution.

    Text of Section 35:
    Objective of Government
    That the sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizen in the enjoyment of life, liberty, and property, and when the government assumes other functions it is usurpation and oppression.
