Cooked vegetables should be OK but there is a risk with salads. If you are worried you should be able to get a Hep B vaccination.

When I was a boy ( back in the day) we had a toilet which was round the back of the house, it had a tin bucket which when full was emptied in a trench in the garden, that part of the garden grew the largest potatoes in the village, huge onions, and all other vegetables. We were all fairly healthy, well as far as we knew we were.
