    4 2/5 × 9 2/7

Since thisis a combination of whole numbers and fractions, you need to change them to all fractions.

    4 2/5 becomes 22/5 (4 × 5 + 2).  9 2/7 becomes 65/7 (9 × 7 + 2)

    22/5 × 65/7     22 × 65 = 1430   5 × 7 = 35

    1430/35 =  40 30/35 reducing the fraction to 6/7,  = 40 6/7

    =22/5 * 18/7 = 396/35 = 11 11/35
