I have installed "Wise Convert" to my computer in order to open files that have been downloaded from another source, documents that I can't open. How can I tell which program they were typed in? In order to open them. My Wise convert keeps saying wrong file extension.

Look at the letters after the dot
like temp.docx is a docx file.
YOu can run a search here for the full name:
