    millie111

No to sugar in tea Colleen...to me that`s almost as bad as coffee!..Dog`s need to show cats some respect!;-)...I thought you were sleeping!;-)lol...I thought I had time to go out for a while..which I did..and still have time to play on here and be naughty before you awoke:-!lol!

    Caffeinated.....

Brewed coffe that the Americans drink, i loved it when i was there, sometimes up to six cups per meal.

I know what you mean it can take the vanish of the table if you spill it,

LOL. I'm drinking a cup of STRONG coffee. Good stuff!
    eggbert

Cool, us Americans have awesome, good coffee!

You probably have never heard of Bushells coffee but that's the one I prefer at home.

When I'm out the Donut King makes a nice capucino.

For a take away capucino MacDonalds is good or you can get a take away capucino for a buck at the 7/11s here.

I remember your Australian restaurant coffee to be weak and like dishwater, something we did not enjoy at all. No wonder most drank tea. Our relatives got tired of our complaining and telling of Dunkin Donut coffee. When they came here, they got hooked, as we gave them some when we picked them up at airport. I understand that Dunkin has come to Brissie since then. They love their "Funkin Dunkin" as one cousin called it!
    Bob/PKB

Totally agree with you, Tommy. McD makes a great cap for a fair price. As does 7/11. Who needs to blow $5 at Starbuck's???
    bustieone

Yes, Bob, the Newmans is a good cup of coffee and at the big chain joints it can be actually fresher than other restaurants. And you sure cannot beat it for $1 per cup!
    Bob/PKB

I sprang for a Keurig single serve several months ago. I get a good cup of Joe for 50 cents. It's a good deal for me.

    Golden nescafe,or blend 37,

Hazelnut, Mocha, Vanilla........I buy the flavored creamers.
No matter what kind, hot coffee needs to be H-O-T.

    Tommyh

I agree. There is nothing more disappointing than tepid coffee.I don't like exotic flavours tho.Just coffee.
    ROMOS

    VANILLA?????????????

    ROMOS

    WTF???
    Tommyh

WTF INDEED!! If you had to live with lactose intolerance you would know where I was coming from.1 Cup of full cream milk & I fart like a brewery horse for the next 24 hours.
    ROMOS

    Oh! OK! Righty HO!

@Tommy...I found out 6 months ago, that I am gluten intolerant and now also lactose intolerant...cream makes me so nauseated I feel as though I am getting the flu. You have my full understanding. We're just pathetic, aren't we? LOL!!!
    Tommyh

Yes Ducky,we're just poor sad little elderly folks.LOL
While you're there..I noticed that some comments from you have been 404'd.What have you been up to? LOL.
    Tommyh

& Ducky,I love cream. But it's just not worth the side effects it causes.Nausea, flatulence, diahorea to name a few.I also love cappucino & I can tolerate it as long as I stop at 1 cup.And this from a boy who was raised on a dairy farm.We used to have enamel mugs that we would dip into the cream cans & drink cup after cup,ice cold & delicious.:)

@Tommy...the 404's were due to rude comments coming back to me and others on the forum so, I got tired of chasing him all over the forum and suspended him. That's why the 404's but not TO me Tommy...BY me. Then, on top of it, I've been gone for a few days. Did you think I suspended myself? You should know by now that I never misbehave! :)

@Tommy...Yes those food intolerances are strange. I've been a milk drinker all of my life and now, have to eliminate it. I had heard that once I got the gluten out of my system, other food intolerances might come forward and that's exactly what happened. I can't eat butter either, unless it's clarified (lactose removed). Ah, just another of life's little challenges. LOL
    Tommyh

@Ducky.Yep, food intolerances do make life a little less interesting. When you have to br careful of everything you stuff into your face sometimes there is nothing to look forward to.LOL.

For me, it's all good and just a slight inconvenience, especially when it comes to socializing with friends...restaurants, gatherings, etc. But the pay off for me, is feeling so much better, especially at my age.
    Tommyh

That's it in a nutshell Ducky. If you feel better it's well worth it.

Why do people drink that? It doesn’t taste good. It has no caffeine. Huh? Why? : )

If you suffer with an anxiety condition, caffeine can make it worse.

Latte with an extra shot when I'm out, or strong coffee with hot milk when I'm at home.

I hate coffee...even the smell of it!...Tea...English Breakfast ...Well just any tea:-!

Tea is gross and should be banned, along with the cats in America.

    bulletman

A well, obiediant dog will not chase cats, and Tea is good for you unlike Coffee which i love.
    millie111

I`m with Bullet:-)...Well trained dogs are O.K..AND tea is comforting and refreshing!..ie..."a cup of tea solves everything" mantra;-)...When did anyone ever say that re coffee...You only drink that stuff to stay awake..I`m awake too much these days/nights now anyway!
    Colleen

Well trained dogs chase anything that does not belong in their yard. Tea is only consumable if it's iced with lemon and sugar. :)

Moccona but only the Indulgence, though I have been known to drink any if I'm out, I love coffee made with milk too

We like Dunkin Donuts, I grind the beans fresh for each pot.  I use an electric Faberware Percolator, and it makes it just like we love it!  I use some half and half, to make it light but no sugar!  Has anyone ever seen the skit that the American comic Denis Leary does on "ordering at a coffee shop" ?  It is very funny and appropriate for many such shops, funnier if you just like plain coffee, no lattes, cappuccinos etc.

Maxwell house French roast at home. When away from home, Dunkin Donuts.

    Bob/PKB

You know you can buy Dunkin Donuts coffee for home use?
    Colleen

    Moderator
It's not the same. No one yet has been able to make DD at home and have it taste like DD from the shop. $8 a pound for coffee that does not taste like DD is not worth it.
    Bob/PKB

    That makes sense.

    Indian filter coffee

    Dark, rich and black.

You can drink those types of concoctions? No gluten?
    digger

Sure,go ahead. Drink that American multi-national beverage instead of the Canadian mom and pop alternative.
    FISH-O

No gluten... I can tolerate a bit of dairy... not much but enough to have a treat every once in a while. :)

Diggity - Man in great Italian shoes: When Timmies serves Vanilla Rooibos Tea, I will shop there! :)

What the heck is Rooibos anyway? Sounds like a made-up product like Corinthian leather. Remember Ricardo Montelban pushing the sexy Chrysler "faux-leather" seats? No such thing !
.....and keep my loafers out of this !
Vero Cuoio...now THAT'S genuine leather, my ectothermic friend.
    FISH-O

Rooibos tea is my 'other than coffee' order at Starbucks which is a natural tea from Africa... Yummmmmmm ..... :) . I can't help talking about shoes Endothermic Soul Man... I love the subject.

Sceptical Sam is not a Starbucks fan.
He drinks his tea with MSG.
"Antioxidants! What is that?", you say,
"Give me Free Radicals any day!"

This waterboy doesn't drink it. I really enjoy a good glass of H2O. No liquor, beer , or wine either. Just dont like it that much. maybe a cola once every three months or so.

At home or at a decent restaurant it's double espresso.

On the go, it's a Tim Horton's regular large with 2 milk.

As for "specialty" fortified coffee, it's a Brazilian all the way.
