Gun control, what are you willing and able to do about controlling guns?

We all have a right to own guns and lets not blab on about removing or modifying gun laws. Lets look at real life situations involving guns. and their peaceful control. As a previous gun owner there are several things about guns that you should be aware of. Guns left in the back window of a pick-up truck are easily stolen and if you call the police about a gun left anywhere like that, the police will  steal it and destroy it. If a gun is not maintained properly, it will rust up and not work. guns loaded with the wrong ammo won’t work or may explode. Potter wasps fill the barrels of guns with clay which destroys guns if not cleaned. What can you do to help control guns in your area?

I no longer own any guns but, I have. I love guns and love to shoot them. I like the right to have them. You're right about taking care of them though. I took a gun back for exchange and it had already developed "bluing" from not being cleaned in two weeks......

Gun owners are responsible to properly maintain their fire arms. If they do not, the accidents that can occur are on them. Just like cars. People are responsible for properly maintaining their vehicle yet hundreds of people die in accidents yearly because of an out of control or improperly maintained vehicle. Do we try to control the vehicles better or the drivers? Do we jail the vehicle or the driver when someone is killed in an accident an improperly maintained vehicle caused? Yet in spite of these accidents, we still have states that require no vehicle inspection. Connecticut being one of those states. Motor vehicles  kill more people yearly than guns do yet we hear no cries for greater vehicle control. Why? Because everyone wants a vehicle and no one wants to have their vehicles taken away for the "protection of the people".

Gun owners who cause a death because of an improperly maintained fire arm should be jailed and never allowed to own a weapon again. That's all the gun control I have for this other perspective concerning guns.

I agree with your statement about guns. Being a gun owner I have one under my cash register if someone comes in and demands money he will get a hole in his chest. I also have one in my drawer of my desk. If someone comes in and wants money I will shot him with this gun.

Otherwise, I don't shoot these guns, just keep them for protection,.
