Lets spare a thought or prayer for Tommy and his Family, the district of Bunderberg where he lives is under severe flooding and without power.

1000 homes  have been evacuated, if he is without power it may be a while before he can communicate with us, if he is OK, we are with you , MATE.  Pyth or Wonder may know more.

The flooding has now reach the outer suburbs of Brisbane ( Capital), at least this time people have had prior warnings, as 2011 , there was none as the speed of the flooding was underestimated; althou 3 are dead, and a few missing.

Tommy may have a problem getting on Aka, (i'm sure he would have more impotant things on his mind), as well as power being out, communications as well.

I'm okay where I am, I'm in the central west NSW .. But I'm pretty sure tommy is in the area. Having no power ect I think this site would be the last hing on his mind..
I really dislike floods especially the Queensland nsw boarder floods they always see, to do so much damage..
    Stay safe everyone.
I just found out a place in Victoria Boho was on fire I actually had property there so I'm so glad I'm not living there any longer ..

Hi kent,I think I have inadvertantly given some wrong info.I Don't live in Bundy.I was born there & still have family there but I have lived in Brisbane for most of my life.We have copped it bad enough here but not as bad as North Bundy.
Thanks to everyone for your well wishes. We have come thru it with minimal damage to our property. There are so many so much worse off than us.

Yes my thoughts have been with Tommy and his family.I hope they are safe and well.

This weather we are having is unbelievable, one week fires the next week floods.

Latest report for Bundaberg>>> Authorities have warned people who refuse to leave that they are risking their lives, and have used loudspeaker broadcasts from helicopters flying over the town to tell people they must leave.Bundaberg police Superintendent Rowan Bond earlier told residents "there is an imminent danger of people being killed and drowned".

I hope you will be OK, i saw on the news which i have been watching all day the storm is heading for Sydney.

At the moment the rain is pretty much torrential.

My heart is with you TOM....thoughts and prayers as well as all those who are affected by this destructive force....

Thoughts of good health and safety go out with my prayers to all of our friends in harms way, Australia especially for their natural disasters going on...

My thoughts are with all in this weather, we will be flooded in probably by morning, the power is off more than on, but we are very lucky compared to those flooded yet again in Qld in such a short time, I hope everyone is OK but the news isn't good for any of us and I have just heard there have been some people lost in floodwater

He's OK. Read my comment above this.
    sunnyB

Oh glad he's ok, I read your answer but not all of the comments, silly me, thanks colleen.

I pray for him (and all of you), you are special people  in my life and my heart.

They seem to be evacuating everyone in surrounding areas my mate just sent everyone a message saying where she is they are being airlifted to higher ground. She said the storms have done a lot of damage and about 60% have no power because a lot of lines are down. The weather has one mad up,there I would have thought they would have made more catchments after 2011. Seems as though the waters nearly taking the same path. I hope his family are safe, but luckily they seem to be on top of evacuations this time. But I did get the s***s at the media opportunity Tony Abbott took, 3 houses flooded whilst he fumbled around with sand bags, because the media got in the road, he should just stay out of it ..

Every flood is different, and I know your right in saying people were better warned and prepared this time, first time I have received warnings via my mobile, great work by the emergency services
    Deleted User

Yes that and social media has been really well apart of it .. Stay safe .. Xo
    bulletman

Yeah, i thought the same as you regarding Tony Abbott, he is sucking it for all it's worth, the same as the Queensland Premier, two peas in a pod, i am pleased you are both OK.
    Tommyh

In the last 3 days I have had 11 mobile alerts.

My heart goes out to all thoes people effected by the floods. It must be so scarey, you are in my prayers. I have seen it on the news, and for me, that was scary enough. My area was flooded just over two years ago, but nothing, compaired to N.S.W.and I was shaking like a leaf. May God Bless the people there and keep them safe. Happy that Tommy was in contact.

Are you sure he lives there? I thought he said in another thread that this is the town he grew up in but he was safe enough away from there that he was not being affected. My thought and hopes for the ones being affected are with them however. It has to be such a trying and scary time for them. I hope all can get out safe.

COLLEEN,as far as i know he lives in the Bunderberg area, the floods have affected the whole of Sth. East Queensland, affecting now 225, 000 homes, i'm sure if Tom was not affected he would let us know but as i said all power is lost in the whole area, i have been watching the special news reports, it is not good, as these were flooded before in 2011. It is heart breaking to watch this all over again. the storm is now affecting Northern New South Wales along the coastal areas. ( 1.30PM E.S.T.)

I checked his post about the monsoon. He lives in Brisbane. Is that where these places are? He's not been on today so I'm going to have to assume he is without power. Hope he's OK.
    bulletman

Colleen, the floods are Nth. Bunderberg, down past the N.S.W's Border which includes, the Gold Coast., Brisbane, Surfers Paradise, as there is 225, 000 homes without power, theres' a very likely hood that Tom is one of these. Bundreberg is roughly 200 plus K's Nth. of Brisbane, unfortunately it may be days before the power is rectified, best idea if you can obtain a map of Down Under it will give you an idea where these places are.
    bulletman

Colleen, it took me a while, Tom has a property at the Gold Coast which is below Brisbane near the N.S.W.'s border which is still in the thick of things, hoping he and family are OK.

Well he still has electricity. I found this in my notifications, "Tommyh has commented your answer Best wishes to all of akaQA's ... 5 hours ago"
Tommyh: "Monday 5 Pm here now & it's nearly all over. Some parts of S.E.Queensland have had up to 500mm (20 inches) of rain. The wind gusts were the scariest.Gusts of 100 mph every 20 minutes or so.I never went to bed last night.Got some damage to our property.Lost the roof on one of my sheds & a few power tools were damaged by the heavy rain. But we're OK."
We know he is OK at least :)
    Tommyh

Hi Colleen I'm back.Yes I have been pretty busy. Our house in Brisbane has survived very well.We lost the roof off one of the sheds & that's all.The Gold Coast property is right on the Broadwater So I had to remove some things from there yesterday just to be safe but apart fom some salt water getting splashed on the lawn & into the pool it has no other damage. We are all safe & well.Thank you all for your concern.

I`m glad to hear that Tommy is safe!..My thoughts and all good wishes for everyone there! xxx

We've had floods in Michigan too b/c of unrelenting heavy rain and melting snow , ice and slush. But, no floods in my town, yet.  PTL

Oh my goodness! Thoughts and prayers for you and your family Tommy and everyone who is in your area. I hope the waters don't destroy your property. Mother Nature, in her one of her most cruelest forms.
