When there is not a person around to talk too, pets are the next best thing in my opinion. I remember  many nights coming home from a stressful day at work crying my eyes out. My pets were by my side listening to me with perked up ears, content eyes, and lots of kisses.

As a person who enjoys social interaction, I prefer creatures who can carry on a conversation with me. I've always talked to the pets that I've had, but none of them ever really gave me their opinion. Pets are great to converse with, especially if you need total agreement on every topic!      :)

I talk for my dogs all the time and yes it's good to talk to them, and talk for them .. Animals give people peace in many ways ..
Ever since I was a child I spoke for my animals :)

Depends what you want in a conversation, if your looking for some non critical answers (or none at all) then cool bark away at fido, but if your looking for some inteligent conversation fido  would'nt be much of a help although my cat gives me the best advice out of all ...(humans or pets )..

....in my opinion, it is better to talk with your pet and listen to your friend.

I did. Talk to my cat but never cried to Mac. He wouldn't have done a thing about it and thus letting me downer...

Well,I don't have a pet.Though, I do think it is better to talk with a pet than a person.So, if you can't express your feelings to anyone, you can to a pet.And it could be fun to talk to a pet when you're alone.  :)
