usually all apliances have these metal like clips that are shaped like a lava lamp (sorry all i could think of that had that shape) that are used to secure the tops of them. if you stick a screwdriver or a wood chisel (use a towel so that you don't scratch the appliance) in the seem at the top of the appliance and pry it apart until it "POPs"up. (don't worry you didn't break it) then slide down to the next one and do the same thing.
There are usually only two in the front of the appliance. when yoou close it all you have to do is push hard until it pops back in .Slow , strong pressure should put it back in the hole.
