Years ago in Europe we used to heat up a brick, than wrap it in a towel and put our feet on it. It holds the heat much longer than a water bottle.
I have very thick featherbeds from Europe and covers to go with it. Nothing beats them for warmth.
Sydney Australia had the hottest day "ever" on record,47c in the city.
They are more used to snow and cold up in Scotland than we are, It's -2c here in Essex 1 inch of snow, and everyone is rushing to the shops to stock up with food. Tomorrow there will be no food left in the shops, and everyone will be sitting at home eating and getting fatter.

Wow. If it snowed an inch here in Austin, the whole city shuts down, even half an inch. Snow makes it impossible to drive and there is a lot of accidents by the poor idiots who try to drive.....

I would really like to feel sorry for ROMOS but...um...at my house this morning, the temperature is.... -15C (5F) with about a foot of snow on the ground. It's okay though. We have furnaces and/or electric heat and lots of snow removal equipment. We'll just go on with our day, business as usual....no need to sit around with blankets, bricks or hot water bottles! Sorry R....no sympathy at all. LOL!!!
