        Scatter the dirt with moth balls. Cats can't stand the odor (neither can I) and it won't harm your plants, I don't think.......

          Plant Rue... a natural herb and cat repellent.  It looks quite nice as a backdrop to flowers.  Good Luck!

            Den never said it was cats,I personally use lion scat,it even keeps the neighbours away.

            I went with cats... if it is something else such as pet 'miniature aliens'... he can use marshmallows as miniature aliens dislike marshmallows intensely. If it is pet Gremlins... keep a light on at all times. Gremlins have dignity in daylight or light of any kind. If it is Micro-Mini Zooboots... then everyone knows... just play disco. Micro-Mini Zooboots really, really, really, really. really, really dislike Disco. They regard it as Music's largest mistake. :)

            No... Lion lovers, all of them. They remove so not to discomfort lions in any way, shape or form. Then they leave a nasty note. Personally, I wouldn't want to receive a nasty note.
