checked fuse, new temp sending unit, thermostat is working, The car over heats then shuts down. Once it has cooled it starts and runs fine. Is there more than one temp sensor for this car?

You might try connecting one of the fans to a "Key On" wire, to see if the cooling system is working,
There may be a problem in the microprocessor, that is resulting in it not getting a proper one to five volt temperature signal reading from the coolant temperature.
If that works, you will need to go to a dealer to have the cause computer analyzed and the fault correct
It is never a good idea to keep buying and replacing expensive parts, hoping to find a problem.

Is the coolant actually overheating?
The fans are not designed to run until the coolant reaches a preset temperature, generally around 230 F. At that point they should come on.
Use an ohmmeter to determine if the temperature sender is closing when the engine temperature Guage is reading above average. WBMS
