    75 year old grandmother; only driver; no tickets; no accidents(5 yrs.);..1yr. premium $1,704??

    The car is a 2003 Hundai.  The company is State Farm.  Been with them for 30 yrs. My regular agent


    recently retired and policy was transferred to another agency.   Only receive a soc.sec. check to live.  Husband is a missionary...lives in Taiwan.


    Can any one help!

    Contact State Farms and tell them to give you back the premium you had under the other agent.

    IF you offer to pay a excess ,say 300pounds ,dollers in your case ,that might bring it down

    Try one of the Online Insurance Companies like 21ST Century for example.  They offer lower rates than your local Agent.


    Ones rate depends on the coverage you require.  For example you do not need to carry collision coverage on a ten year old car, that is only worth around $2,500 and you probably have a $500 deductible.


    I am 86 and have full coverage at $750,000 to insure my 2012 Mustang Convertible and a 2013 Lincoln MKZ for for only around $1,360.

    Where you live makes a difference.. Around in Texas higher because of illegal immigrants that drive with no insurance.
