According to http://business.highbeam.com/5274/article-1G1-58161407/raising-dead, the Eaton company filed for bankruptcy in 1999 and its assets were purchased by other companies, such as Sears Canada, in 1999. Several stores were operated under a separate brand but all were converted to Sears stores or shut down in 2002.
