i recently purchased a 2000 dodge 2500 5.9 liter both engine and tranny (auto) were rebuilt and fresh the first 100-200 miles were fine and then last week i went to plow snow and tranny fluid gushed from the front of the bell housing it only ran out when i cycled through the gears but did not leak while in park. ipulled the tranny back and replaced the front seal and it was fine for maybe ten minutes and then same all of my fluid gushed out the front of the bell housing the tranny works fine whe

looks like you get to do it again. this time, I am assuming that it spit the front pump seal again.If it is the case look carefully at the bushing, make sure it has not moved or damaged,also check the converter where the bushing rides.If all is good look for a relief hole that may be plugged or could or may be a good idea to ream it bigger.A good idea is to stake the new seal or drill and use small set screws. Call a local builder and ask to talk to a bench guy about this problem.
