First (MAKE SURE YOUR IPOD ISNT CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER, AND ITUNES IS RUNNING!!) you have to reset it by holding your home and power button. Make sure you slide it to power off. Then as it powers on, hold the home button and connect your ipod to the computer at the same time. (DO NOT LET IT GO FOR ANY REASON) as iTunes loads it, it'll say that your iPod is going into recovery mode. Click ok, and restore it. (NOTE: it WILL erase everything on there) But if you purchased music on it just call apple and iTunes and they will give you a grant to get all your downloads back into your computer, just verify your account address and you should be fine.
