      Creosote if you can get it if not Cuprinol is good stuff and it is clean unharmful and in a range of colours

        Cresote was the best, however, has been banned for years.  If you know anyone who works at hazardous waste collections, it may be found from time to time coming in.  Bottom line, it is still better using for its intended usage, than being mishandled!
