    Trade Union Workshop


    Our last Central Committee meeting held in New Delhi on 4th and 5th September 2012, inter alia, decided to organize Trade Union Workshop in 3 (three) centres viz. Bangalore, Patna and Kolkata. It was also decided that the Bangalore Workshop will cover all the Southern States and Maharashtra while Patna will cover all Hindi speaking States and Kolkata to cover the rest.


    The dates for Workshop in Bangalore and Patna have now been finalized in consultation with our States Units in Karnataka and Bihar and the schedule will be as follows:


    Bangalore – 15th and 16th December 2012


    No. of participants :– Kerala -15, Tamil Nadu – 15, Andhra Pradesh – 10, Karnataka – 15, Western Maharashtra – 5, Eastern Maharashtra -2.


    Patna – 22nd and 23rd December 2012


    No. of participants :– Delhi - 5, Punjab - 5, Chhattisgarh – 5, Uttar Pradesh - 5, Madhya Pradesh -3, Rajasthan -3, Himachal Pradesh -2, Chandigarh -2, Haryana -2, Bihar -15, Jharkhand -10.


    Kolkata – By middle of January 2013


    All State Committees are to finalise the list of participants at the earliest. While preparing the list it has to be kept in mind that our purpose for holding this workshop is to groom up potential Comrades for future leadership of the organisation. The list should exclusively contain the names of those Comrades who have another 5 to 10 years to go in service.


    The workshop will commence at 10-00 A.M. every day in both the centres. Advance railway reservations for the participants are to be made at the earliest so as to reach by evening the earlier day of commencement or latest by early morning thereof.


    Further details about the workshop will be intimated separately.


    Submission of Common Charter


    UFBU will meet IBA on 30th October 2012 at 9-30 A.M. in Mumbai to submit Common Charter of Demands, one for workmen another for officers. Com. A. K. Ramesh Babu, our President and Com. GMV Nayak, our Vice President will represent our Federation in the said meeting, the undersigned has to leave for Cyprus on the same day early morning to attend a meeting of representatives of Trade Union Internationals (TUIs) convened by World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU).


    Copies of final Common Charter, as submitted to IBA, will be sent separately.
