I average about 6 applications a day,in the past year,I've only had 1 interview, most companies don't even acknowledge the app.

ROMOS, I don't know what kind of job you are seeking, but would you not be better to head for the South east of UK or Oz? Oz has many vacancies and Scots are welcome.

Yes Dolly..It`s heart breaking..we have Crisis at Christmas shelters and other fantastic centres/ers..set up for Circa 2/52 here..which gives these poor poor people a bed and food and some practical help and the chance to be part of a family for a short while..but back to the cold by new year..check out places such as The Salvation army anyone who can spare old coats/hats/gloves/blankets etc..they are always wanting and appreciating of anything that any of us can do to help.xx
