Navigate to the Craigslist website and click "Post to Classifieds" on the left-hand sidebar.

Click the "For Sale" radio button and wait for the next page to automatically load.

Click the radio button beside the category of the item you are selling. For example, if you are selling old music albums, you would click the radio button beside the category "CDs/DVDs/VHS (by owner)."

Click the radio button beside the closest listed area. For example, if you're posting in the Los Angeles classifieds, you would pick between Westside-Southbay-310, San Fernando Valley, Central LA 213/323, San Gabriel Valley, Long Beach/562 and Antelope Valley.

Fill out the form, which includes creating a post title, setting a visible price and describing the item in the body. You'll also need to supply your email address, but it won't be public; if you don't choose to hide it, a randomly generated private email will display instead, and emails sent to that address will forward to your account without revealing it. Click "Continue."

Click "Choose File" on the next page to upload any pictures of the object. When you're done, click "Done with Images," followed by "Continue."

Open your email account and open the email sent by Craigslist. This email contains a link where you can edit your ad, and you'll need to physically click "Publish" before it appears on the website.
