This should be a good starting point. My first born was a "preemie" (8 weeks early; 3 lb 14 oz). The little knitted cap and crocheted "doll" he had in his "isolette" during his month-long stay in the NICU are in his box of "keepsakes".  Recently, we were going through some of the boxes of stuff I've got in storage and came across those items.  He was so glad I'd saved them, and I am so thankful for the generous souls who made them.
