For those of you who have ever driven in a country where they drive on "the other side...

of the road" and the steering wheels are on the other side of the vehicles: 1) How easy was it to make the switch? 2) Did you ever "forget" where you were, like driving as if you were back home?.

Heck, I screw up here in the states. I went to the store the other night and turned head on into oncoming traffic down a one way street. If the car in the lane would have not slowed down to give me time to back up, we would have crashed. I've lived here all my life and I know this is a one way street.

Reminds me of the song I sent you a long time ago: "Where did you come from, Country Bumpkin?" (lol!)

I haven't but my Dad said it happened once or twice

to him, when driving down quiet country lanes in

Ireland. He'd momentarily forget, 'til someone would

    come careening around a corner.

This is a problem. for those of us who live in continental Europe and return to the UK from time to time. So far I have not had an accident but have had several shocks and the sudden release of adrenaline concentrates the mind.
