Colleen, I'm not sure, but I'll bet this car has an electric fan, and probably two of them which don't run on a belt. I had a problem with my Ford Taurus fans a couple of months ago, and the relays in the main fuse box under the hood were a little corroded and the fans weren't getting voltage. Usually one fan runs all the time the car engine is running, and often for a few minutes after the car shuts off in hot weather, and a second fan runs when the air conditioner is operating. Most newer front wheel drive cars have electric fans. I'm not sure about the Maxima, I know a few years back the 300 Z's were rear wheel drive and I'm pretty sure they had belt driven fans. There could also be a blown fuse which operates the fans if they are electric. If Vaga Bond wants to take the car to O'Reilly auto parts, or AutoZone, they will check the fuses and relays for no charge, or even inspect the belt if it is belt driven. Mac

Thanks Mac. I'm old school and know the old engines. I'm 50 years old now and have no desire to learn all the new engines out there. I still buy only old vehicles because I know their engines.
