Recently the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) deemed that all cribs with drop-gates are unsafe. The reason behind this is that under rigorous testing, lower quality cribs manufactured overseas for lower prices consistantly failed. Our furniture went through the same tests and passed everytime. However, in order to insure safety, all drop gate cribs were banned.

Starting on June 28th 2011, the Federal Government prohibited drop-gate cribs from being produced, sold and used. For this reason, we cannot recommend that you continue using any cribs that are equipped with a drop-gate. Also, because of the strict regulations set around this issue, we are unable to provide any conversion from drop-gate to fixed-gate.
