how to index the distributor after you turned it 180 degrees? JGC, LTD 5.2 L 1996
I have a Jeep Grand cherokee ltd 1996 5.2 liter 4x4 The timing gear was broken on the camshaft, I replaced both gears, yes I match doth of the dots I set it 2 TDC and the camshaft position sensor mark to #1. I had taken out the distributor. I talked to an jeep expert and he said rotate the distributor 180 degrees, so I did,still won't start. That was a wast of 18 dollars. So I talked to yet another expert, and he instructed me to get the codes, on the odometer it showed 12 and 55 The engine flashed 1 - 2 witch is 12 and flashed five and five. can you come up with the right solution to help me.
