    If you wanted to be able to speak another language besides your "native tongue"...

    Russian, I took a course on it a few years ago and could never understand the spoken stuff, "phonetically" was ok for me, but I never knew exactly what I was saying.

    tried to teach me Gaelic as a child. 

     "" I did 4 years at night school learning French back in the 80's, we used to holiday there then, I was getting the hang of making conversation when we went there. Only thing is you speak a little and the French assume you can understand everything, it was fun though and we had alot of laughs with them trying to work it out.
