Cabo San Lucas holds a reputation as one of Mexico's safest resort areas, according to travel resource Fodor's. Pickpocketing is the most common street crime, as opposed to the high number of muggings and attacks that make tourism in other towns a bit riskier. But even with a lower rate of violent crime, Cabo has hazards of its own, and tourists should use caution during their trip.
