SC542 error = Fusing temp. warming-up error.
The fusing temp. does not reach the fusing standby temp. within 125 seconds after the main power switch is turned on.
Causes:
Thermistor defective or out of position
Fusing lamp open
Thermofuse open
BICU defective
Power supply brd defective
Poor connections
ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE POWER FROM THE WALL BEFORE WORKING ON MACHINE
*** replace the thermistor AND the thermofuse*** If one went bad then the other will probably go bad soon. ( 95% it is one of these).
