With stress becoming an officially recognised disease - it is becoming increasingly important that we all take steps to combat the many stressful situations we daily encounter, before they begin to start harming our health. For one thing, few of us are adept at recognising many of its subtler symptoms, since these can often be so vague - i.e. mood swings, sleep disruption, headaches, ----loss of sexual interest, enthusiasm, appetite and drive, chronic lethargy - that it simply would not occur to us to relate them back to their true cause Most of us come to accept it is 'almost natural' to suffer the occasion bout of 'blues' and dismiss it.
This is huge subject and in the UK people are now encouraged to say if they feel depressed - as it was always stigmatised - so many people suffer depression from all walks of life. There is also a huge amount of literature of how to cope with this. I said too much maybe here but there is so very much more.
