I've been to many islands. My favorite is St. Martin. It's part Dutch and part French. Excellent food,hotels, weather (for the most part-just don't go during hurricane season), gambling, golf (the last time I checked, however, the course was in need of repair from a hurricane in the '90's)shopping, beaches, and the natives are friendly.
