Black because black absorbs almost all of the different-colored light rays and reflects no light rays. After it has been absorbed, it turns into heat. White, on the other hand, reflects all of the colors and absorbs almost nothing. The small amount of light rays that have been absorbed turn into heat. Very little heat. Hence, the is hotter.

the black rock will heat up faster than the white rock as white reflects and black absorbs,over a longer period both will obtain the same temp.
