which rock will get hotter under the sun, a big black rock or a big white rock of the same size, or both of the rocks will get equally hot?

Black because black absorbs almost all of the different-colored light rays and reflects no light rays. After it has been absorbed, it turns into heat. White, on the other hand, reflects all of the colors and absorbs almost nothing. The small amount of light rays that have been absorbed turn into heat. Very little heat. Hence, the is hotter.
