Take the batteries out of the remote-- Is there another remote device closeby? If you know where the sensor on the TV is, place a piece of black tape over it to see if there's another source of infrared affecting it. if it continues then the problem is internal and you'll need to contact a service center. You will anyway even if your remote is acting up.
