    ok then how come they say columbus discover america when it was ppl already here i haven't agree with this back when i was in school an  i still don't

    He discovered a land that was unknown to his own country at the time. True, the land and the people already existed but in the minds of the people of Spain, the land was unknown so it was newly "discovered" for them.

    Discovery means finding, uncovering.

    ok i can agree but they took something from other ppl an to this day they still do i could go with a land unknown to them but i don't thing they should get the credit for it when ppl was already on this land
