      The first box of eight Crayola crayons was sold in 1903. The crayons were sold for a nickel and the colors were black, brown, blue, red, purple, orange, yellow, and green. http://www.vernonkids.com/cedarmountain/4thgradelinks/tests/crayola/crayolahistory.htm

          It was a Trivia Today question (that I've erased) and I got it right with the answer 8. I'd name the colors but like I wrote, I erased the question.
