    In cell biology, the centrosome is an organelle that serves as the main microtubule organizingcenter (MTOC) of the animal cell as well as a regulator of cell-cycle progression.

    Centrosome is a location is cells where microtubules are formed. Microtubules are used for movement of cells, transporting oraganelles, chromosomes, and proteins in or out of cells (some cells also transport proteins outside)
