It is easier with a female than a male, the procedure is called "free catch" and you need a sterile jar with a lid (boiling water will sterilize it). You also may want some latex gloves, so you do not get urine on your skin. Take the dog out for her walk, and when she is ready to urinate, simply hold the jar beneath her and let it flow into jar. Label it as to her name and the date. Refrigerate, and take it to the veterinarian for analysis.
